Miss Mitchell, B-25 Bomber

What's it like to fly in a WWII bomber?

There is nothing quite like the thrill of flying through history back to WWII! This plane is almost exactly as it was when it was built during the war. The only things that have changed are modern avionics in the cockpit and no live ammunition in the fifty caliber machine guns!

On your arrival you will be briefed by the staff about how to board the airplane, emergency procedures, what to expect during the flight. No question is too small to ask the staff. You will need to be fit enough to climb up and down these stairs in order to fly on the B-25.

To climb up the ladder into the plane is to follow in the footsteps of WWII hero Jimmy Doolittle and his Raiders made famous by the movie, "Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo."

Passengers who ride in the back of the plane can try out the fifty caliber waist gunner positions as well as climb into the tail gunner's position for a 280 degree view of the countryside.

Passengers in the front of the plane can watch the pilots from the navigator's seat and if you are spry, you can crawl up to the bombadier's position for a spectacular view and look through the crosshairs of the famous Norden bombsight that was top secret during the war.
